Yohanan is a Lebanese-German visual artist currently based in Lisbon. His work focus on the intersection of art, urbanism and activism. He creates relationships between the political and the essayistic and is searching for a visual language that describes and translates everyday intersectional experiences, the global in the local and social conditions.
He studied Visual Communication Design at the Peter Behrens School of Arts with a focus on documentary photography and experimental design (B.A. + M.A.) and worked as an editor and research assistant at Paradise—Park—. Currently he is studying Directing - Film and Television (Master of Arts) at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto. Yohanan is a scholarship holder of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
